Running it
Helium is the only repeating cost. At about $1.50 per cubic foot from a local supplier, a blimp fills for around $255 from empty and a sphere for around $130.
After that you are only replacing the one percent you lose each day. For a sphere, one 200 cubic foot tank covers roughly two months including top-offs.
The version where you do nothing
In greater Phoenix and Tucson we run the whole thing: we supply the balloon, the helium, the installation, the weather watching and the removal.
Balloon service is $247.25 a day, blimp service $297.25 a day, Tucson $30 a day more. Billed every Monday for the weekend just flown. No contract, no minimum, stop any time, and no charge on days weather keeps it down.
That programme exists precisely because of the ten minutes problem. One local builder runs four of our blimps every weekend on it.
How long until it arrives?
Three to seven days production after artwork approval, then two to five days shipping.
Is artwork extra?
No. On the blimp it is full colour, both sides, inside the $1,526.
How high does it fly?
120 feet. Below 150 feet the FAA is not involved.
Do I need special equipment?
A helium tank and the fill hose. Nothing else.
Can I fly it indoors?
Yes, with 15 feet of clear ceiling. One fill covers a three-day show.
